Serious Fall Play

What a day we had!  I got a hair cut and then we spent the day at the children's museum!!!  We give our stamps of approval to the new play scape!  It really is so fun!!  Myla especially enjoyed the Music Room where she showed off all her musical ability!  I still especially love the archeology exhibit with the mummies and terra cotta warriors!
We are getting ready for our big Ohio & Kentucky weekend!  Tomorrow we head to Great Wolf Lodge and Saturday night we head over the river to Kentucky.  I love this fall break stuff!!  I'm not sure I'll be ready to go back to school Monday!

There's No Place Like Homecoming

We had a HUGE day today!  It was great to sleep in a bit (7:45am) because we didn't have swimming or school or anything else!  Once we got moving we went non stop!!  We started out walking down to watch the BSU Homecoming Parade!  This year the theme was "There's No Place Like Homecoming" so we saw lots of tin men, lions, and even some flying monkeys!!!  We had a FABULOUS time...and with smiles like ours we were able to score LOTS of candy!
As soon as the parade was over we headed to Pizza King with Grandpa Dave and Grandma Donna because we had to get fueled up for what was next!  Uncle Adam and Aunt Christy went to the hospital to get ready for Baby Isaac!!  I got to give Adam and Christy hugs and I got to throw coins in the wishing well to make a special wish that Isaac would be born tonight!  We did lots of playing and waiting in the waiting room.  We made new friends who were waiting on their new babies, too.  We finally had to head home for bath time and bed after 8:00pm.  I am so excited for the baby to come, but I guess I'll have to wait to see him tomorrow!

Fall in Full Swing

Fall is here and we are loving it!  Girl Scout Daisies is going great for me and we even went on a nature walk last night to see all the fall prettiness!  Myla is taking her first swim lessons (and I am continuing lessons) at Ball State this fall.  I am loving it, Myla is tolerating it.  She loves to kick with the kick board and jump in.  However, getting her face wet or blowing bubbles or floating on her back are NOT on her "Things I Love" List!
We can hardly believe that I have completed my first grading period of kindergarten!  School pictures have been taken, I am reading books to mommy and I am learning new sight words every week!!  I was in my very first play a couple of weeks ago.  It was called, "Mother Goose's Goose is Loose."  I got to play one of the star light, star bright girls.  It was my whole class and I loved getting to dress us (and even wear make up), say my part in the microphone and perform in front off all the families.  Mommy, daddy, Myla, Grandma Donna and Grandma Dee ALL CAME to see me!!!  I definitely have the acting bug!  I've also had my first kindergarten field trip!
Tonight my family made the annual trip to Jacob's Orchard!  Myla got to pick out a pumpkin...and she picked a little bitty one that she called, "Myla sized."  I picked a pretty big one and cannot wait to decorate it!  We also had  apple donuts, bought some apple cider, climbed the hay mountain and visited with the goats!  Yes, fall is in full swing!!
