Almost Made It 5 Months

Well Myla almost made it 5 whole months before having to visit Prime Time Pediatrics. That is the place you go after hours when you have a sick kiddo in our city. While I stayed with grandma and pa last night, mommy and Myla spent the whole night on the couch. Myla wouldn't go to sleep in her bed because she didn't want to lay down. She just screamed and screamed. So mommy finally got her comfortable on the couch sitting up to where she could sleep and that is where they stayed. Myla would sleep about 30 minutes and then get up and then sleep 30 minutes and then get up. That lasted pretty much the whole night!! This morning around 9am, mommy woke daddy up and he took a turn with Myla while mommy slept a few hours. Then it was off to Prime Time to see a doctor! My parents were afraid Myla had an ear infection because of the way she was acting, but the nice doctor said her ears looked perfect! He checked her heart, breathing, nose and he even checked for strep throat!! That was not pleasant, but the doctor said Myla doesn't have a problem with her throat and she doesn't have any other problems. So he said she probably has a cold and she probably has a headache or some other kind of ache with it that he can't diagnose. He suggested letting her sleep in her car seat the next couple nights if need be and also giving her tylenol before she goes to bed. He said she is so used to breathing through her nose that it probably ticks her off when she has to figure out how to breathe through her mouth because of congestion!! I came home tonight after Kidz Zone and now we are in for the evening. I will be heading to bed soon and I think mommy is going to try to put Myla in her bed again to see what happens!! I think both of my parents are praying that Myla will go to sleep and sleep well through the night. We'll just have to see!
