Animal Kingdom Monday

It has been far too long since we've told more about our trip!  I believe we stopped with Monday!  Monday morning we got ready and headed to Animal Kingdom.  The first item on our list of things to do was to find Pocahontas near the Tree of Life.  It took some map skills, but we did find the line to meet her!  She was very beautiful and so nice!  And she is one of Lynley's favorite princesses so it was good that we saw her first thing!
We found Dino Land next and got to ride a few rides.  One of those rides was VERY SCARY!!  It was a ride through a time warp back to the time of dinosaurs and it was a bit much for Myla.  She didn't cry, but it wasn't her cup of tea.  (Don't tell anybody, but it wasn't Lynley's cup of tea, either!  She wouldn't admit it, though.)
One of the coolest things about our day was getting to watch Finding Nemo, the Musical!  It was amazing and we all loved it.  Myla was most impressed with the show and she could have stayed and watched it several times if we were able!
It was a hot day and so we spent as much time in the shade as we could.  We saw another show, The Festival of the Lion King, and we were amazed by the monkeys (acrobats dressed up)!  It was a great show, too, and we were able to sing along with some of our favorite songs.
Another of our favorite things about that day was getting to go on an actual safari!  It was a very bumpy ride, but those big trucks were really fun and we were SO CLOSE to many kinds of animals!  The hippos and elephants were fun to watch and the giraffes were so close we could have reached our hands out and touched them!
As the day came to a close, Lynley really wanted to ride the Kali Rapids.  We were not sure how Myla would do, but because it was a chance for her to get wet (and it was so very hot), she was okay for the most part!  Luckily our side of the raft did not get completely soaked, but just wet enough to refresh us (and get our adrenaline going due to the big drop at the end)!
Animal Kingdom closes earlier than most of the parks, so we were able to head back to the hotel and relax for a few before heading out to dinner.  Dinner was great and we were all ready to eat after such an exciting day!
Oh, and we cannot forget to tell you that Tinkerbell DID come and leave presents for us, again!!  You just wouldn't believe all the magic that happens at Disney World!
