Once upon a time I, Myla Joy, was 21.5 inches long. Today I am 23 3/4 inches long.
Once upon a time I would only sleep in my car seat and only for 2 hours at a time. Today I sleep in my big girl crib, in my bedroom, for about 7 hours before having breakfast and sleeping a couple more hours.
Once upon a time I really couldn't even see very far in front of me. Today I will follow you with my eyes when you cross the room.
Once upon a time I couldn't really smile at all unless I was sleeping and didn't even know I was doing it. Today I smile lots, especially at daddy, and show my dimple.
Once upon a time I didn't make much noise at all, unless it was to cry for food or because I was tired. I still really only cry for those two things, but I also talk back to you sometimes when I have lots to say.
I am really growing and learning every day! I am trying so hard to get my hand (and maybe specifically my thumb) in my mouth and once in a while I actually get it! I enjoy sitting in my swing and watching the monkey, bird and frog go round and round. I talk to them sometimes, too. I actually enjoy tummy time most of the time. Mommy thinks someday I will be a tummy sleeper because I sure enjoy being on my tummy. It is hard to make me mad enough to lift my head and chest sometimes during tummy time.
The only thing I really didn't enjoy about being 2 months old happened on Friday when I got my first set of shots!! I had an oral vaccine and then 3 shots in my legs! The tetanus shot was YUCKY and it was first, so I got good and mad for the other two. I asked for LOTS OF CUDDLING Friday and Saturday to help me feel better, but by today I was back to my normal self. It has been a good two months for me!
