Starting Off With a Bang!

My July 4th festivities began today!  Daddy started out his day with a 4 mile run called Four on the Fourth.  Me and mommy started our day by watching some cartoons and laying on the couch together.  Myla started her day by sleeping in the swing and then having some tummy time.  It was a great morning for all of us.
Around noon we went to Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house for an afternoon of swimming!  It was so much fun and it was a great thing to do on a day when it was 90 degrees outside!  Mommy and Myla sat in the shade and spent some time inside.  I stayed in the pool for most of 4 hours, only taking breaks to eat strawberries and cheese and shoot water guns.  I really got the hang of the water and even put my face in during the last hour.
Lots of people swam today.  Me and my cousins Alex, Alyssa and Amanda all swam.  So did Uncle Adam and Christy, Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie.  Daddy did, too.  And some family friends came over to swim.  I introduced myself to each one of them like a really big girl.
I really didn't want to stop swimming, but we had to leave and come home for a little bit before heading over to Grandpa Si and Grandma Haz's house.  Once we were there I got to play in the backyard, ride in Grandpa's "big truck" and watch some fireworks that Uncle Adam and Christy brought.  I even held a frog that Alex caught!!  It was a full night...and we had some great cheeseburgers!
It was a long, great day and it was so fun.  Myla even had a good day.  Lots of family got to hold her and so she was pretty happy.  She slept some...but she is sure tired tonight!!  I think we will all sleep well tonight!
