The Good and the Sad

Today was a big day!  We went to have a birthday lunch with Aunt Emily and it was a time for us to see her before she leaves for Texas tomorrow.  We had a great time together and lots of family came!  We had some Pizza King and cake and we were all smiles until it was time to leave.  I was definitely sad that Aunt Emily and Uncle Tim are leaving tomorrow, but mommy and daddy promise that we can go visit her sometime.
I came home and took a little nap before the other big part of my day!  Tonight was my first experience with Upward Cheerleading!!  We had a 3 hour clinic and it was so much fun!  Mommy took me and she stayed to watch and help where she could.  We stretched, we learned a cheer and a jump, we made cheer posters and we made buckets that we'll sit on during games!  I payed really close attention and made sure to try my best!!
THEN at the end of the night I got my uniform!!  I was so excited to bring it home and try it on for daddy!  My pom poms need to be fluffed, but otherwise every part of my outfit is great!  My practices start next week and games start in a few weeks!
After such a big day I am pretty tired!  Daddy stayed home with Myla and she has already hit the sack. I am winding down for just a few minutes and then I am heading to bed, too.  Tomorrow should be a quiet day.  I'm looking forward to watching Mary Poppins with mommy and daddy and playing some more with my toys!!  Maybe I will have a pj day!!

Play Day

Well today was great!  Myla and I both slept in a bit (I slept till about 8:30am and Myla slept till 10:30am).  Me and my parents had waffles for breakfast and then I headed off to see the new Chipmunk movie with Pa and Grandma!  It was great!!  I told mommy it was really a funny movie!
Then I played while mommy and daddy took the Christmas tree down.  And THEN Aunt Emily and Uncle Adam came over to visit.  Me and Aunt Emily played with my Barbies and the grown ups talked a lot!!  Aunt Christy came over for just a few minutes this evening and then all three of them had to leave.  I was pretty sad that Aunt Emily was leaving.  I know it is about time for her to go back to Texas and it isn't a happy thought!  Luckily it was time for me to go to Mission Friends at church and so my good mood came back!  It was a much more relaxed day and we are about halfway finished with cleaning up from Christmas.  Myla and I are both enjoying playing with all our new toys!

WARNING: This is Gross

Well, after our Christmas celebrations, today was a bit calmer. Only a bit because Myla had a horrible night last night and so today she was SUPER tired and since she had a horrible night the rest of us did so we were all SUPER tired! We went to Granny's house for a while, but all 4 of us were kind of out of sorts and Granny didn't even feel that well. It was good to see my cousins, but I was so tired that I was just miserable. So, we all came home this afternoon and took a little nap. Myla and mommy got up first and so mommy decided to start going through all our Christmas stuff and taking things out of boxes, cut off tags, etc. By the time she came to wake me and daddy up and I heard what she was doing, I was IMMEDIATELY ready for her to take my new Baby Alive doll out of the box! I have been wanting one of those for so long and it was on my Christmas wish list. I didn't think I was going to get it because it wasn't under my tree on Christmas morning, but (thanks to Grandma Hazel) I got to open it at Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house. From the minute I opened it I wanted mommy to take it out of the box, but for some reason she kept putting it off! Well there was nothing to stop her tonight. I helped her put other things away and eventually it was one of the last things to take out of a box! Did I mention that this baby poops in her diapers??? While my parents think it is pretty disgusting, I think it is totally cool!!! There is no way I'd change Myla, but I am quite fascinated by this doll!!! I named her Holly and mommy let me feed her AND change my first diaper tonight! I can't tell you how excited I was! It was pretty gross, but too cool at the same time! We have to go buy some more special food and diapers before I can feed her again, but oh man was it awesome! But just so you know, she does more than eat and poop. She burps, she talks to me and tells me I am the best mommy ever, and her eyes really close when it is time to go to bed. Between her and my Sandi doll that Levi got me and my Tiana doll that Uncle Patrick got me, and my princess doll Uncle Jimmy got me, I am going to have some pretty serious tea parties!!!!! Here are some pictures from my first ever experience feeding and changing my doll! Be warned...it is pretty gross!!!

The Day After

While some people were hitting the stores for the day after Christmas sales, we continued to celebrate Christmas with family!!  We got up this morning and headed to Grandpa Dave and Grandma Donna's house in our p.j.'s for the morning and afternoon.  It was great!  Everyone was there, including Irie!!  I've been really missing him and I was super excited for Myla to meet him.  She loved him, by the way.  She wasn't scared at all.  In fact, we had to make sure she didn't go get him all the time because she was that impressed with him.  That is something she has in common with her big sis!!!
We had a great breakfast (that included my favorite...cinnamon rolls) and we opened stockings and presents.  We lounged around and had a good ol' time.  I got a guitar as one of my gifts and so I spent much of my time writing and singing songs.  I even performed a couple!
Before we knew it we were heading back to Muncie so Myla could get a short nap and we could head to Pa and Grandma's place!  Me and Myla changed pj's (we changed into something a little cooler because Grandma keeps the heat set on Hawaii) and then we headed off for dinner and our last Christmas stop for 2011.
It was great!  We ate a wonderful dinner (the adults ate roast while me and my cousins opted for some chicken nuggets) and we played in the play room (that now features a bigger ball pit) and then we opened presents!  We were again blessed by many really cool things to bring home and play with, given to us by some people who love us very much!  Then the grown ups talked some and tried to relax while Myla tried her hardest to get into the play room with the big kids and the big kids played until we were all nice and sweaty and tired!
This has been a really wonderful Christmas!  I informed my parents it has been the best Christmas Ever!!! We have seen so much family and gotten to spend time with all of them!  We have eaten some really great food!  We've been given and we've given gifts to our loved ones!  We have laughed and played until all 4 of us are just exhausted (but in a good way)!!  It has been a BLAST!

Merry Christmas!

We will let the pictures do most of the talking today.  It sure was a great Christmas day!!  Santa came to see us, we went to church to celebrate Jesus' birthday and then we spent lots of time with lots of family!!  We can't even begin to write how happy we are that our families are healthy and were able to get together today!!  We saw Grandma and Pa,  all of our Sorrell side of the family, and then all of our Filler family!  There were lots of hugs and laughs, Myla did amazingly well on her very first Christmas day, we were given great gifts by family who loves us and were able to give gifts to some of our loved ones.  There were so many highlights of the day that we couldn't even begin to tell you all of them!  It was an absolutely fabulous day!
