One Never Knows What Might Happen

We were able to celebrate mommy's birthday last weekend.  It was a lot of fun!
Mommy and Myla got to watch Lynley during swimming and even make some funny faces for the camera.

And then something happened that nobody expected!  Myla and I were playing and she fell down.  She didn't jump right back up like she usually does, but instead seemed to be really hurt.  Several hours and x rays later we discovered that she had fractured her arm!

Our first experience with fractures in the Douglas family.  We hear daddy has broken some bones a long time ago before we were our little family, but this is a big first for us!!  Myla has one week in a splint and then she will spend a few weeks in a hard cast.  None of us are really excited about it, but we are thankful she wasn't hurt more and that she is adapting pretty well to having a hard splint and a sling!  And we are super excited that with the help of some medicine she isn't hurting one bit!!

Missing?....It REALLY DOES Take a Village!

Yes, we have been missing for a few weeks!  Missing from the blog, that is!!  First, we bought a house!!!
Daddy and mommy signed the papers (Grandma Donna was an excellent realtor and BIG helper), we moved out of our apartment (with help from our wonderful, amazing family), and now we are living with grandma and pa until 30 days are up and we get possession!  Those are big words but what it means to me is....I get my own room and a big back yard in less than 3 weeks!!
Throughout all the packing, storage runs and everything else, I've still been swimming (with the help of Grandma and Grandma Donna who have taken me when mom and dad can't).
We've celebrated the BIG 5-0 for Uncle Jeff!
And enjoyed the 4th of July!

I've been to Levi and Evan's church all week for their VBS (thanks to Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara)!  Myla has been able to come out a couple of nights to see the closing ceremony, too!

AND we've been spoiled by Pa getting us donuts lots of mornings!

We sure have lots of great family who loves us and helps us so very much!  It has been a crazy couple of weeks, but we are still enjoying every second!
