Unforgettable Christmas

Christmas has been unforgettable for so many reasons this year.  There were many things that tried to put a damper on our 5 day Christmas extravaganza... stomach flu that hit all 4 of us at different times (including right now), the "Blizzard of 2012," and a 102 degree temperature that required medicine to bring it down just to name a few!  BUT, nothing could stop us from enjoying the time we had with family!  There were p.j. dance parties at Grandma and Pa's house, presents to be opened, delicious food to eat (sometimes when we were feeling up to eating), lots of laughing and talking for the grown ups and lots of playing for the kids.  We saw family we hardly ever get to see!  AND we will never forget Christmas Eve at Granny's house when we saw the REAL someone outside!!
Levi, Evan, Myla and me were all having fun in the playroom when mommy called us into the living room because she couldn't figure out what she saw outside the window.  We immediately ran in to help her, jumping up on the couch to get a really good look.  AND TO OUR HUGE SURPRISE WE SAW SANTA!!  He was running by and it looked like he was going to head into the house next door!  We tracked him from window to window and stared for about 10 minutes hoping to catch more glimpses of the jolly man.  I told mommy I was sure he went to the other house because it was dark and quiet.  Everyone must have been in bed over there.  Since we were still having a party at Gran's house, he would come back later when everyone was home and asleep!  I made sure to tell everyone the next day that I had seen the REAL SANTA making his Christmas rounds!  (A Big Thank You to Uncle Jeff for making that memory a lasting one for 4 sweet children.)
It was a whirlwind of F-U-N, even when we weren't all feeling the greatest!  Monday at Grandpa Joe's and then Granny's house was great.  Tuesday at home after Santa came, then to the Sorrell Christmas and the Filler Christmas!  Wednesday at Grandma and Pa's place with blowing snow as a beautiful backdrop outside!!
Today was supposed to be a very low key day.  However, due to some pesky germs who shall remain nameless, the day was spent disinfecting EVERYTHING imaginable, watching a couple of movies I got for Christmas and THEN having a little fun in the snow and playing Just Dance 4.  We are ALL praying that the yuckiness is gone tomorrow when we wake up and that we'll have a great day...and maybe it will be the low key day we were looking for today!
