Thankful

October was a long month. We had unexpected, uncomfortable, unlikable things that happened...BUT we also had some great, wonderful times together as a family!  So today, during this month of thankfulness, we choose to be thankful for the many wonderful things we did and moments we had throughout October!  We have so many pictures it may take a few days to get them all on here, but to start off....we are so thankful for the leaves that fell in our front yard and for the friends that came over to help rake and play in them!  We are thankful for a trip to the pumpkin patch with our cousins!  What a wonderful Saturday spent with the Filler Four and Grandma and Pa.  Pumpkins, corn mazes, hay rides and lots of time to play together!  We are thankful for the field trips that mommy and daddy got to be a part of with Myla at the Apple Orchard and Daddy got to be a part of with Lynley at Conner Prairie.  We are thankful for being a part of a church family that likes to fellowship together and being able to go to Harvest at the Hill.
Yes, October threw us some curve balls, but it also brought us some amazing times for which we are extremely thankful!  Our little family is blessed, blessed, blessed!

All Day School Has Begun

Miss Myla started all day preschool last week!  She goes two days a week and she stays ALL DAY LONG!  It is the weirdest thing for mommy and daddy to drop her off early in the morning and then not see her all day.  It is really weird to watch mommy make two lunches in the morning (one for me to take to school and one for Myla to take to school)!
Just like everything else she does, Myla has loved school so far.  She met her teacher last Tuesday with our parents and then she went all by herself on Thursday morning.  She has already been the line leader once (and she thought it was awesome) and when we picked her up after her first day she said, "school is so COOL!"  So far one of her favorite things is that her teacher plays a guitar and teaches the class new songs.  She loves the song, "I Just Want to be a Sheep!"  We are super excited to see all she will get to learn and do this year!
In other news, daddy and mommy surprised us with a new play set for the back yard!  We love it and we are outside playing on it as much as possible!  Daddy, Pa and Uncle Lawrence did some backbreaking work to get it into our back yard and get it together, but we sure are thankful for all their hard work!  It has been a fabulous addition to the back yard.
