The Sun Is Out

The rest of last week was great!  After the fun we had on Tuesday at the fire house, we had two more field trips on Thursday!!  First we got to ride a city bus around town and even go through the bus wash!  It was so much fun!!!  After that mommy and daddy came to school for our second field trip to Minnetrista.  We got to walk around and look at different kinds of plants and flowers.  Thank goodness the weather hasn't been too bad!  We also got to dissect a flower and plant some seeds!!
Thursday was also my first tball practice of the season!  Daddy got to go with me and it was so much fun.  I did a great job listening and my arm is pretty good!
The weekend weather wasn't so bad until Saturday night, so we got some play time outside, too!!  I hear tomorrow may actually be 80 degrees and I am really looking forward to that!

Jam Packed Fun

We have had a great several days!  Last Friday night was movie night for the kids at church.  I got to wear my pj's and take a blanket and pillow.  We ate dinner and watched Wreck It Ralph on the REALLY BIG screen in the gym.  It was so much fun, just like we were at a drive in!
Then on Saturday both me and Myla got to go spend the night with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave.  We had a great time!  Myla and grandpa hung out at the house while I went with grandma to the store and to rent some movies!
Sunday was jam packed, too, because we celebrated Uncle Adam's birthday, mommy and me went to see The Little Mermaid play and we had Kidz Zone at church!  Uncle Adam's party was nice and it was good to see some family that we haven't seen for a little while.  Going to see the play was AWESOME!  I didn't even know we were going!!  It was a surprise and I loved getting to see some of my "Academy Friends" (a.k.a. Daddy's students) playing the parts of Prince Erik and Ariel!
Monday we went to Granny's house and it was fun, as always.  It was good to see the Great-Great Aunts and our cousin Lori even came for a little bit!  She played in the tent with us!
Today was school and I had a field trip to the fire house.  Mommy went with me this year because daddy got to go last year.  It was fun and I enjoyed showing mommy where the fire fighters sleep and eat.  Tonight me and Myla hung out with Grandma and Pa because mommy and daddy had a kindergarten meeting to hear all the fun stuff about me going to school in the fall.  I am so very excited about it!!!  Mommy and daddy are too, but i think it is finally sinking in that I will be at school all day, every day.  Mommy is a bit sad, I think.  It is hard for her to believe I am growing up!
I know the rest of the week will be big, too!  More field trips and daddy is off this weekend, so I know more fun will be had!!

Beginning to Wonder

We were beginning to wonder if the weather would ever be nice enough to go to the park again!!  Thank goodness the temperature is heating up and we can go play!!!  The days are longer, the play time is longer and we are pleasantly pooped out by the evening!

Opening Night

Wednesday and yesterday were really fun!  We headed over state lines for the Reds Opening Night!!!  The trip was nice.  We really only made one pit stop for the restrooms and then we met up with Grandpa Dave, Grandma Donna, Uncle Adam and Aunt Christy for lunch at Waffle House.  Before too long we were at our hotel and checking out the rooms.  Thank goodness we had rooms attached to one another because me and Myla loved going back and forth!  I was really excited because I got my very own big bed to sleep in!!!  Myla and I tried it out but only to see how comfy it was.  NO NAPS were to be had before the game!
We were a bit worried about how cold it would be at the game and we were a bit worried about keeping Myla from running all over the place.  However, there was nothing really to worry about!  It was very cold, but we wore layers and coats and gloves and we had blankets.  I even decided to drink a slushee in the already cold weather!!  Myla did great!!!  She stayed in the stands all 9 innings!!!  AND THE REDS WON! 
The fireworks show was MAGNIFICENT!!  We loved seeing them and Myla barely blinked during the whole thing!  The bus ride is always a crowd pleaser and this time was no different!
Saturday morning we decided to go to the children's museum in Cincinnati.  We didn't know what to expect, but it was awesome!!  We played and played!  They had a huge tree house that we loved and we got to play in water!  They had a great little village with a vet hospital, a cafe and a store.  It was fun to pretend in those.  We also got to walk through a cave and that was one of my favorite parts!!
It was such a busy and fun two days that Myla fell asleep in the car before we even hit the interstate!  And if that wasn't enough, we got home just in time for my last swim lesson of the semester!!  After all the excitement we all slept well!  Mom had to get up and go to work this morning, but Myla slept until 9 and I slept until 10am!
