Who Doesn't Like Mondays?

Some people get to eat the hot fudge sundae from McDonald's...some people just get to chew on the lid.

In other news...Myla is standing by herself most of the time and she is just so close to walking across the room!!!  I got to go see a movie today with mommy and grandma and it was a really fun time.  Since it was during the day on a Monday there was nobody else there and I had a blast!
This week has started off so great!  Yesterday we went to church and then me and Myla spent the whole afternoon and evening with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave.  We played and played, me and Grandpa Dave went on an adventure to took us to the hospital gift shop, the park and to rescue a kidnapped princess!  It was such great fun!!
Today I had school, our movie and then a night filled with playing!  I know tomorrow we go to gran's house and I think overheard that I might get to go to Chuck E. Cheese before heading over to visit Grandpa Joe and Grammy!!!

What An Awesome Saturday!

Today has got to be one of my favorite days of March so far!!!  You won't believe all we did!  First of all, me and mommy got up really early (well it seemed really early to me) and got ready.  Grandma picked us up and we headed to Middletown to get Levi, Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara!  We drove to some place called Hamilton Commons to a HUGE theater to watch The Lorax!  It was the first time Levi had ever gone to a movie and we had a blast!  We had popcorn, Swedish Fish and drinks and we watched a great movie!
While we were gone, daddy and Myla got to hang out for a while.  Myla got to go to the student center with daddy and I am pretty sure that is the first time she'd ever been there.  Then she got to go see Grandpa Si, Grandma Haz and Grandma Donna.  She loved the deer heads on the wall (that is one of my favorite things, too) and she was quite a little entertainer!  Grandma Donna brought her home when it was getting close to nap time.
What did daddy do?  Well he went to church and refereed lots of basketball games for Upward.  He was there most of the day.
After the movie it was time for lunch.  We headed to Red Robin for some good food and some plotting.  I say plotting because me and Levi got it all worked out that he could come to my house for a while.  We made our parents offers they couldn't resist so after lunch we all headed to Muncie to play!!!
Myla and Grandma Donna were home and so Grandma Donna got to see Levi.  It had  been a long time since she'd seen him and he has really gotten tall!  We played, the grown ups talked and it was a great afternoon.
Nap time was inevitable and everybody had to leave.  Me and Myla both slept for about 2 hours and when we got up daddy was home....and Uncle Patrick was here, too!!!  We had a great night.  Me and Patrick played lots.  We watched, "The Voice," on television, we played hide and seek, I showed him all my dress up outfits, I put on a concert!  We ate spaghetti and played some with Myla.
I got a quick bath, Myla got a quick bath and then we all settled down to watch, "WipeOut."  Well, Myla went to bed but I got to stay up with the adults and watch television before I had to go to bed.  Oh man, it was a great day!  I finally went to bed about 9pm and the adults were still going strong.  I only got up once to see that daddy and Patrick were playing a game on the Wii and mommy was getting ready for her lesson tomorrow night in Kidz Zone.  I thought about putting up a fight to stay up longer, but then I decided that I'd better go ahead and get some rest because tomorrow is bound to be another great day!

And We're All Better

Thank goodness we are all well in my house now!!  Today was the perfect day for all of us to feel good!  Mommy and daddy both went to have dentist appointments and Doctor Grasso said they have great teeth, I had a really great day at school and Myla slept through the night and hasn't cried about her ears at all today!!!  Add in the little details that it was 70 degrees today, Aunt Debbie delivered a beautiful dress up clothes closet that she made for me and Myla AND we got to go to the park and to the Silly Safari at my preschool and you get A PERFECT DAY!!!
First I will tell you about our new closet!  Aunt Debbie made it so we could hang up all our princess dresses and have a place to put princess shoes, crowns, etc.  Then after she built the closet she painted all the Disney princesses on it!!  She added some jewels to it and made it just beautiful!!!  I love it and I have spent a lot of the afternoon looking at it!
Tonight me and Myla got to go to the silly safari at school.  Myla stayed with daddy in the big people seats, but I got to sit close and see all kinds of animals!!  Snakes, skunks, owls, a crocodile, cockroaches, a frog and much  more!  Then at the end I actually got to touch the crocodile!!!  Mommy can hardly believe I enjoyed seeing all those creatures, but I really did!  It was great fun!!  I've got a few pictures to share with you and I'll end by saying...HAPPY LEAP DAY!!

Catch Up, Not Ketchup

It has been a couple of wacky weeks in our house.  We've battled (and are still battling) ear infections, the flu, not sleeping, horrible sounding coughs and lots more!  We're looking forward to some time to regroup and catch up on what we've missed.  However, through all the bad wacky there has been some good wacky, too!!  We all still find lots of reasons to smile!

Some "Firsts" Aren't Fun

Yesterday we found out that Myla has another first.  It isn't something to celebrate, like a first tooth.  No, this is her first ear infection.  Not just an ear infection, but a DOUBLE ear infection!!  We had no idea it was going on.  She has been a tad yucky for several days, but with her cough and runny nose we all thought it was just a cold.  But then Tuesday night she had a REALLY bad night.  She just could not sleep and she cried and cried and she had a fever that refused to go away with medicine.
She already had an appointment yesterday morning with Dr. Mauller, so it worked out well that mommy and daddy could take her in to see what was going on!  Some good things we found out were that she is 21.5 pounds and she is 29.5 inches long (yes, we all know she will be taller than mommy).  She also is doing really great for her age with all her motor skills and such.
Dr. Mauller did NOT like her nasty cough and tested her for RSV, which I hear is really bad for babies!  Thank goodness the test was negative and we think all the yuckiness is coming from a really severe double ear infection.  She has some medicine to help her and we are hoping it helps very quickly.
So because she was sick, we hung out at home most of yesterday.  Grandma got to pick me up from school and she spent almost the whole day with me!!!  She had lunch with us and then she played games with me while Myla slept.  Mommy and daddy were there too, but I was just super excited that grandma was there!  She even went with mommy to take me to my swimming lessons!
Grandma could NOT believe how much I love the water and how I am not scared to jump in , go underwater and just swim around.  She doesn't like water very much but she sure enjoyed watching me!  When swimming was over we came home.  Grandma left to go see grandpa and I got to have spaghetti for dinner!
It was a really good day for me, relaxing and fun.  Myla didn't have as great of a day, but at least she was pleasant by after lunch.  I think that means maybe the medicine is starting to work.  I sure do hope so because none of us like it when sister doesn't feel well!!!

The Yucks

The yucks have come to visit our house, again!  First it came to visit me.  I had a slight fever, lots of coughing and a little sneezing, not sleeping well.  Then it came to visit Myla.  Lots of coughing, staying up in the wee hours with mommy.  We'll both live, and it hasn't slowed us down all that much (cheerleading, swimming, school) but it is definitely taking a tole on our household!!  We have exactly one day to get better before another extremely busy week starts...so here is hoping that we all rest well tonight and a much needed pj day will make us all better!!!
