After a Sunday of traveling, Monday was a relaxing day! Everyone ended up at the pool (grandma even got in) and it was so much fun! As a matter of fact, for most of the time, we were the only ones there! It was so nice to have a run of the place!!
Later everyone did their own things. The Douglas family went for a ride to town and let Myla take a good nap in the car while we checked out all that Pigeon Forge had to offer! We went to an amazing creamery with the best ice cream I've ever had (and Myla got a tiny taste, too). I showed my parents all the things I wanted to do while we were in town and then we headed home for dinner with everyone else. Sara's parents were also in town and they got to come up to the cabin for dinner, too! It was a great day!!
Tuesday some of us headed into Gatlinburg for a morning at the aquarium. We had a blast! Myla really loved looking all around at the fish. I LOVED THE SHARK LAGOON, where we stood on a moving floor and got to see sharks all around us (even above us)! I especially loved the ones that had really long "noses" with lots of teeth! I took lots of pictures (my parents even let me use the big camera)!!
At the end of the tour, after the sting rays, the sharks, the penguins, the crabs and everything else, I got to have a MERMAID MAKEOVER!! I picked out a tail, I had my hair and make up done, and then I had a photo shoot! It was an AMAZING time and I loved being a mermaid!!! Monday and Tuesday were both more fun days and I have MANY, MANY pictures to share!!! (I really did cut some out of the final draft, but there are just so many good ones!!!!!)

A Darling Vacation - Part 1
Last Sunday morning (earlier than the sun wakes up!!) we packed Grandma Donna's very comfortable car (thank you Grandma for letting us borrow it!!) and headed off on our first week long vacation as a family of four! We took A LOT of stuff because that is what you do with an almost 11 month old, 4 year old and two thirty-somethings who have no idea what the weather will really end up being, but daddy did an amazing job of packing the car and the stroller and pack n' play went in Uncle Jeff's van! We left the house almost right on time, just a few minutes later than planned, and headed a whole 20 minutes south to New Castle, IN!
We stopped at the McDonald's there for breakfast and met up with the rest of our vacation mates! Grandma, Pa, Granny, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lesa, Tabatha and Jacob were already enjoying breakfast when we got there. I was so excited because McDonald's had a PLAY LAND and, at 7AM, there was nobody there! So I ate and played while the grown ups talked and then Uncle Lawrence, Aunt Sara, Levi and Evan came! Once everyone was together, fed and had drinks for the cars it was time to leave for what would end up being about 10 hours of traveling south. (Normally not this long of a trip, but with potty breaks, lunch breaks, free wi-fi breaks and one little bit of construction traffic...it took a while!)
Myla did an excellent job in the car! She napped, she ate, she sang, she played. She only got upset a couple of times...when it was time for a bottle and the last 10 minutes of the trip when she just wanted out of the car!!! I rode the whole way with Evan and Levi and we kept Lawrence and Sara entertained!!
After a winding road up a mountain we reached our cabin for the week!! Three floors of fun for all of us, lots of stairs to climb for Myla, beautiful views, a whole room for movies and another for games and a pool table, a hot tub for the grown ups, and a pool right down the lane for all of us to enjoy! I was super excited!!
Sunday night we got settled in, ate some dinner, relaxed and headed to bed to get ready for the week!! Here are a few pictures of our cabin!
