Thursday morning we all slept in just a little bit after having such a big day Wednesday. We had a great breakfast and by the time we were all dressed and ready, Uncle Tim was home after a morning working. We got our hiking gear (good shoes, swimsuits and a picnic lunch) and headed to Hamilton Pool. It was just a little bit of a drive that mommy really enjoyed because we saw so many beautiful homes along the hilly, curvy way.
Once we were there we discovered that because of high bacteria levels there was no swimming allowed, but that didn't stop us from having a great time! We hiked anyway and Uncle Tim single handedly carried our cooler of food/drinks to beach area. We had sandwiches, chips, veggies, dip and cookies. We ate and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We saw the waterfall, we walked around behind it and we saw a few turtles and cool looking birds. There was a snake in the water that drew lots of attention from all the people there. I was fascinated with it and wanted to see it...but I also had a healthy fear of it, too!!
After a great afternoon there we headed back into town to regroup, Aunt Emily, Uncle Tim, Myla and I decided to play in the sprinkler since we didn't swim earlier. After showers we needed to figure out dinner! You will soon find that our trip was filled with AMAZING food from places that only Austin (or just all of Texas) could offer. Tex Mex was the menu for dinner and we enjoyed our time together!
The day was a blast! I can honestly say that all of us were pooped out when we got home that night. Our bellies were full and we started watching Frozen until it was time for bed. Day two of our trip was just as much fun as day one!!!

At Least A Two Parter
It has been a couple of weeks since we've updated you on life. Last week was jam packed!! I joined the Yorktown Swim Club and so I swim 4 nights a week for an hour and I absolutely love it! Mom wondered if it was too much for me, but so far I think it is so fun and I am really getting stronger in my freestyle and back strokes! Also last week I had my Girl Scout Court of Awards. It was a nice night and I got to eat IHOP when it was over!! And I cannot forget Mother's Day! We had a nice day with mommy and we were able to wish our amazing grandmothers and granny a happy, happy day! We love them soooo much!
Finally last Wednesday was the day me and Myla had been waiting for since January! We got up SUPER EARLY and headed to the airport for our very first flight to go see Aunt Emily and Uncle Tim! Aunt Emily graduated on Saturday and we were able to spend 6 great days celebrating and playing! There is so much to tell that I will probably break this down into a couple of posts!
We'll start with the plane ride!! The trip to the airport and through the airport went smoothly and we were very ready with our suitcases and our new travel pillows that Grandma Donna got us for the trip! We loved riding the esclators and people movers and we were REALLY excited to get on the plane.
Both of us were great little travelers. We watched out the window during take off and kept ourselves busy and entertained the whole time!! Myla couldn't figure out why we weren't moving when we were up in the clouds! I tried to tell her we were just going really fast and so it didn't seem like we were moving. The "waitresses" brought us apple juice and goodies and the flight was really pretty quick!
Oh the ground we headed to pick up our rental car. It was big enough that ALL OF US were able to ride together! We really loved that and it was great to have the car for the week. We headed for lunch at Smash Burger and then were off to see Aunt Emily. Myla asked, "Is this Texas??" several times. It took some time, but we made it to Aunt Emily and Uncle Tim's house and we were very happy to see them and to see Irie!
Some of the adults were able to rest a little bit while me and Myla hung out with Aunt Emily and Irie. Before we knew it, Uncle Tim was home from work and we were heading to The Salt Lick for a bbq dinner! It was really, really good! We were all stuffed by the time we left and headed back to the house. It had been a huge day for the Douglas girls and so we didn't stay up too late before hitting the bed!

A Tinkerbell Celebration
Miss Myla turns THREE tomorrow!! So we celebrated today by having a fairy birthday (just want she wanted). She wanted a Tinkerbell cake and SPRINKLES for her ice cream!! She got both of those things, as well as lots of family celebrating the day with her. It was such a fun time and she loved showing EVERYONE her cake. Here are a few pictures from the big day!!
Here are a couple of extra pictures for you!! Lynley had Grandparents Day on Friday at school and this is what she wore. She was super excited that Granny, Grandma Dee, Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave were all able to go to her program!!
While Lynley had visitors at school, Myla rocked it out at the house!
